چکیده

This work calculates the Lorentz–Lorenz coefficient with refractive index and density values of various molecules in their solid phase measured our laboratory under astrophysical conditions. was completed for a range temperatures from 13 K to close sublimation temperature each molecule. The studied were N2, CO2, NH3, CH4, CH3OH, C2H4, C2H6. For results match those found unique similar previous literature. obtained NH3 CH3OH are relevant because they confirm that procedure adopted is applicable also polar molecules. study presented here updates on these by focusing states conditions at temperatures. knowledge specific allows calculating using only index.

Photodissociation of small carbonaceous molecules of astrophysical interest

Astronomical observations have shown that small carbonaceous molecules can persist in interstellar clouds exposed to intense ultraviolet radiation. Current astrochemical models lack quantitative information on photodissociation rates in order to interpret these data. We here present ab initio multi-reference configurationinteraction calculations of the vertical excitation energies, transition d...

Constraints on the abundances of various molecules in interstellar ice: laboratory studies and astrophysical implications

Ethane, acetylene, ethanol, hydrazine and hydrogen peroxyde are either predicted by theoretical models to be abundant in the icy mantles on grains in dense clouds, or were found to be produced by comets. We present measurements of the spectra of these species embedded in astrophysically relevant ice matrices. Additionally, we obtained the spectrum of the hydrozonium ion (N2H 5) which could be p...
